Bigg Boss 18 wrapped up with an exciting grand finale on Sunday, crowning Karan Veer Mehra as the winner of this season. Karan was among the top three finalists, alongside Rajat Dalal and Vivian Dsena. Along with the winner’s trophy, Karan took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. The charming actor not only claimed the title but also won the hearts of millions with his journey on the show. In an interview, Karan shared his thoughtful plan for the prize money, revealing that he intends to use it to fund the education of his staff’s children which is something he has been thinking about for a while.

“I haven’t yet collected my Khatron Ke Khiladi money, but I plan to fund the education of my staff’s children. This is something I’ve been considering for a while. I’m already doing it to an extent, but some of them wish to study further, so I plan to sponsor that for them,” he said during an interview with Mid-Day.

However, Karan’s kind gesture didn’t go down well with everyone on social media. When his plans were shared online, the reactions were mixed with some users questioning his intentions.

A user commented, “Is this a sympathy card to justify winning?” while another said, “The last thing I expected to hear – I’m KV PR.”

A person remarked, “Show off to justify his fixed winning.” A person labelled his gesture as a “PR stunt.

Despite the negative reactions, many people were impressed by Karan’s thoughtful move.

A fan wrote, “Wonderful decision Karan. Keep helping people like the good human you are. True gentlemen. We need more people like you.”

“Amazing person with such an adorable personality. Therefore, he is the winner now,” another added.

Meanwhile, Karan’s journey on Bigg Boss 18 not only saw his rise to victory but also highlighted some strong friendships he built along the way, especially with Chum Darang and Shilpa Shirodkar. During the interview, Karan was also asked whether he believes his friendships with Shilpa and Chum will continue after leaving the house.

“After a few days in the house, it’s as if the cameras don’t exist. We completely forgot about them. Luckily, no phones were allowed, so we connected on a human level. Now that we’re out, with phones and other distractions, I don’t know how we’ll manage,” he said.

However, Karan remains confident that the bond he has built over the 100 days will continue.
