Another close call for Matildas
The Matildas are saved from another goal by Tanaka as her header hits the crossbar.
Cooney-Cross almost assists a Ford goal but she’s offside and the Matildas lose the ball again.

The most hopeful it’s looked for the Matildas, Ford has possession close to the Japanese goal but Australia again lose the ball when Fowler fouls Saki Kumagai.

Cooney-Cross is forced into a foul after Mackenzie Arnold’s mistake hands the ball over to Japan’s goalscorer Mina Tanaka.
