Newburgh in Fife has been lit up by Christmas lights designed by the town’s children.

This year, 10-year-old Lochlan won the competition with his drawing, which was chosen to be made into a light.

The Christmas goose has joined dozens of other illuminated characters for the festive season.

It now hangs alongside a three-legged reindeer, a happy carrot and a dinosaur with a star on its head.

Lochlan’s goose was brought to life by light specialist Blachere Illuminations, a company that also designs lights for Blackpool, the Shard and Champs-Élysées.
