MPs are holding an impassioned debate in Parliament on a bill to legalise assisted dying in England and Wales.

They have been given a free vote on the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, meaning they can vote with their conscience, later on Friday.

If the bill passes, there will still be many months of parliamentary activity before it can become law.
